3-1 Start

Before we sum up today's sweep...here's a quick recap of what happened in week 1:

Running back home to get his gear, CLee was making an attempt to qualify for the 2011 NYC Marathon, and in doing so, he had to put together a 4 mile run prior to a 12pm game. Danny was able to get him and get us to the fields in the second inning of the first game. Down 1-0, the Predators scored one back in the second inning. But, Retro scored two more in the third. By the sixth inning, we scored one in a losing battle. Final score 4-2. Game 2 was a different game. With everyone now present, and much more relaxed - the Predators shut down Retro from making any noise. Where as we scored 12 for the mercy win.

Offensive stars: Frankie, Matt and Albert
Ace of the weekend: Dennis - 6 innings, 0 runs allowed

Today - We didn't have Matt, Frankie or Sal. Moving Jason to 3B and Al to SS, the team's defense didn't drop a beat. Offensively, we scored and batted around in the second inning. By the time the Clippers scored their first run, we already had 10. They simply wouldn't go away, as they put four more runs on the board, and we had to keep pace to eventually get that mercy win in the sixth inning. Final Score: 19-7.

Game 2 we kept things rolling. Putting up two runs in the first and by the forth, it was 8-1. The Clippers managed to sub in some "ringers" and scored 4 runs. As the game was nearing its final - we tacked on two more to win 10-5.

Special thanks to Ben H. and Jeff for coming down to sub in.

Game 1 - Offensive stars: CLee (7 RBIs), Brian (4-4; 3 Doubles)
Game 2 - Offensive stars: Danny, Brian and Dennis (3-4 each)
Ace of the weekend: Tied - Ben and Dennis

Sunday Reminder: Week 2 (4/18) -- UPDATED 4/16

Schedule for this Sunday is up. We're getting the Clippers @ 12pm - same field as the last game.

If memory serves correctly - we're up against a solid group who will have tougher pitching than what we faced against previously. I'm thinking something a bit similar to what the Astros (Bill's morning team) gave us. So let's be patient, and let them make the mistakes.

Currently out: Matt and Frankie. I plan on reaching out to one of our subs to fill in for the day. Please notify me by tomorrow @ 5pm if you are unable to play as it'll be crucial for me to reach out to more subs if necessary.

The lineup will resemble to what we ran in game 2.
  1. Danny - LF
  2. CLee - C
  3. Brian - RC
  4. Bill - 1B
  5. Jason - SS
  6. George - LC
  7. Jon - RF
  8. Ben - P
  9. Albert - 2B
